Privacy Policy

• Account info: email address, trader handle, password (stored securely, hashed — we never see it in plain text)
• Profile info you choose to add: bio, social media links, and optionally your city/state (shown publicly on your profile to help nearby traders find you — never required)
• Listing content: set details, photos, notes you post
• Messages: content of messages sent between members through the Platform
• Transaction info: for cash purchases, the shipping address you provide during Stripe Checkout, and basic order details (amount, listing). We do not see or store your card number — Stripe handles that directly
• Basic usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and debugging

To operate the marketplace: creating your account, displaying your listings and profile, enabling messaging between members, processing cash payments and payouts, confirming your email, and calculating ratings. We don't sell your personal information to third parties.

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the Platform:

• Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage
• Stripe — processes payments and payouts; handles your card details directly, and (for sellers) verifies identity as required for payouts
• Vercel — hosts the website itself

A shipping address you provide for a cash purchase is shared with the seller of that item so they can ship it to you.

Your bio and social links are entirely optional and can be removed anytime from your profile settings. You can permanently delete your account and everything tied to it — listings, offers, messages, and reviews — anytime from Settings, or by emailing hello@bricksfortrade.com if you'd rather we do it for you. You can also request a copy of your data the same way. Note that some records (like completed transaction history) may need to be retained for legal or accounting purposes even after an account is deleted.

We use industry-standard practices (encrypted connections, row-level database access controls, hashed passwords) to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information you provide.

Bricks For Trade is not directed at children, and you must be at least 18 to create an account. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated policy.
