Terms of Service

Bricks For Trade ("we," "us," the "Platform") is a venue that lets users ("you," "members") list, trade, and sell LEGO sets, parts, and related items with each other. We provide the listing, messaging, and payment-facilitation tools — we are not a party to any trade or sale between members, we do not take title to, inspect, or guarantee any item listed on the Platform, and we do not guarantee that any trade or sale will be completed successfully.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating listings and your profile.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your listings (condition, completeness, photos, and description) and for fulfilling any trade or sale you agree to, including packaging and shipping items in a timely manner. Cash purchases are processed by Stripe, an independent third-party payment processor; your use of Stripe's services is subject to Stripe's own terms. A platform fee is deducted from cash sales, disclosed to sellers before a sale completes.

We do not guarantee, insure, or otherwise warrant the outcome of any trade or sale. Disputes about item condition, non-delivery, or non-payment are between the members involved. We encourage keeping all payments inside Stripe Checkout and all shipping-address exchanges inside the Platform's messaging so there's a record, but we cannot force any member to do so and are not responsible if they don't.

The Platform may let members mark a shipment as sent, add a tracking number, and confirm receipt. These statuses are entered by members themselves and are not verified, inspected, or guaranteed by us in any way. We do not hold any item, payment, or funds in escrow at any point. You are solely responsible for using appropriately tracked and insured shipping, for confirming what you actually receive before marking it as received, and for resolving any dispute directly with the other member — we are not liable for a lost, delayed, damaged, or misrepresented shipment.

You agree not to:

• Post fraudulent, misleading, stolen, counterfeit, or illegal listings
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other members
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Platform's security or verification features
• Use the Platform for any purpose other than trading/selling LEGO-related items between individuals

We may suspend or terminate any account, remove any listing, and report suspected illegal activity to law enforcement, at our discretion, with or without notice.

You can block another member to stop them from messaging you, and you can report a member or listing to us for review. Submitting a report doesn't obligate us to take any specific action, and we aren't able to guarantee a particular outcome or timeline for reviewing reports.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY MEMBER YOU INTERACT WITH WILL ACT HONESTLY OR COMPLETE A TRADE OR SALE AS AGREED.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRICKS FOR TRADE AND ITS OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF GOODS, MONEY, DATA, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, ANY TRADE OR SALE BETWEEN MEMBERS, OR THE CONDUCT OF ANY MEMBER — WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bricks For Trade, its operator, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your listings, your conduct, or your violation of these Terms.

Bricks For Trade is an independent, fan-operated marketplace and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the LEGO Group. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group. Any LEGO product names, images, or trademarks referenced on listings belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the items being traded.

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violating these Terms or for any other reason, at our discretion.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the Platform operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a different governing law is required by applicable consumer-protection law where you live.
